RWI Logistics - Creating a Better Online Presence for a logistics service provider

Meet the client:

RWI Logistics is a North American company based in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. With extensive experience and expertise in the logistics sector, they provide asset-based transportation, freight brokerage services, freight management, and more. A part of The Castellini group of companies, the solution-based logistic provider offers a definite edge in today’s rapidly-evolving transportation market through insightful data analytics and expansive carrier networks. Their mission: Bringing Intelligence to your Supply Chain.

Need:

When RWI sought our help with their website, they were eager to get things back on track. Outdated layouts, confusing navigation structure, and ineffective communication made it challenging for visitors to understand the value the company offered. They reported the existing site was too wordy, cluttered, confusing to navigate, and lacked imagery — all of which hindered their ability to grow.

RWI was determined to make a change and create an impressive new website that was pleasing to the eye, clear in its messaging, and unmistakably innovative. In addition, they wanted a site that could express the value of the firm’s services more clearly while also providing an aesthetically pleasing experience. We were eager to help RWI create a modern website with meaningful content that would reshape perceptions of them online.

Solution:

We wanted to ensure we got it right from the start, so we started with stakeholder interviews to learn about their biggest needs and priorities for the redesign. This was incredibly valuable in understanding what direction our project should take. Plus, we did an extensive audit of the site’s content and analytics to see what needed improvement. The analytics audit showed us that mobile device views were the most common source of visits, so our strategy had to prioritize smaller screens.

We wanted the navigation to be intuitive, so we developed a detailed sitemap that would make navigating effortless. To ensure all parties involved could easily keep the site up-to-date with content, we decided to build a custom WordPress CMS.

Our goal was for visitors to find what they’re looking for quickly and with minimal clicks, so we included a primary CTA prompting users to fill out contact forms across the site. We also wanted to showcase RWI’s strength in logistics, demonstrating its ingenuity by creating an innovative website that presents visitors with precisely what they’re searching for. Overall, RWI has established dominance in this industry – and this is just one part of their story!

Here are some of the features we have added to the website:

Responsive design: The website is designed to work beautifully on all platforms: desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile.

CTA buttons: Placed CTAs at strategic steps to motivate visitors into deeper engagement with the brand.

Blog section: Added a blog section to help client share valuable insights that can help build trust and credibility with each customer who visits online. The CMS makes it easier to publish and market blogs.

WordPress website powered by CMS: WordPress enabled us to tailor the website architecture to meet the exact requirements while making it simple for administrators of all ability levels to monitor, update, and edit content.

Registration for carriers: An easy-to-fill registration form for partners to become approved carriers for RWI Logistics.

Embed Facebook on the site:  Embed the company’s social account to highlight brand achievements, share feeds, and engage the audience on social media through the website.

Payment services: Added competitive Quick Pay and electronic paperwork services to ensure carrier partners get paid within 24 hours of submitting all required documents.

Test and Launch:

We took great care to ensure that RWI’s website was crafted with excellence and attention to detail. Our team tested it on multiple popular devices and browsers  –  triple-checking the functionality and efficiency. From testing for bugs, glitches, and vulnerabilities to optimizing for different device sizes and browsers, we made sure no stone was left unturned. We didn’t just stop at the programming either; we had hundreds of pages of content to migrate from the old site to ensure it was populated with all the necessary information ready for users.

We also ensured that last-minute changes were considered so the end user would have a fantastic experience. After ensuring our work was nothing less than exceptional, we sent it to RWI for their approval. Then, when launch day came around, we worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly while communicating closely with the client.

Result:

Our team worked relentlessly to change RWI’s online marketing presence from its outdated, disorganized website. The new, responsive, modern corporate website gave them greater search engine visibility, increased traffic on the site, more inquiries, and higher conversion rates. Users have an improved experience because of faster loading pages and easier access to the needed information. Additionally, the look and feel have been upgraded for each one of their target audiences. We provided RWI with a powerful online tool that will continue driving their business for many years to come.
